The Mobile Value Education Children’s Van – A Pilot Value Education Project

A small library in this van will allow more than 1000 children and adults from mixed religious slums of Lahore to get access to wide range of other reading material to improve literacy rate in Pakistan.
Such initiatives will enable these children to bring social change in their communities towards education and peaceful co-existence.
With the support of Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, FACES Pakistan will re-model a used van as a mobile library to give value education and human rights literacy to children from impoverished areas of Lahore. Other than books on value education, art supplies and computers will be made available in the vehicle. Through qualified instructors from the community, the children will be involved in maintaining their library and in developing their reading habits and creativity skills.
